Press Release Body: ATLANTA (GA) - Katie Parker-Obrecht, assistant department chair
for photographic imaging and graphic design at The Art Institute of Atlanta, will
present at the Social Studies: Educating Designers in a Connected World Conference
taking place October 17-19 at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore.
Parker-Obrecht will focus on Web design for print designers. The Social Studies
conference is a project of American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), sponsored by
Adobe Systems.

Parker-Obrecht has been with The Art Institute of Atlanta since 2004, becoming
assistant department chair in 2007. She earned her master's degree in graphic
design and advertising from the Savannah College of Art and Design and her
bachelor's degree in graphic design from Auburn University.
